Tata Power’s generation capacity rises 9 per cent
Tata Power announced that its generation capacity increased by close to nine per cent in Q1 FY17 as compared to Q1 FY16. The company, together with its subsidiaries and jointly-controlled entities, has an installed generation capacity of 9,432 MW (as of August, 2016) as compared with 8,669 MW in FY16, mainly due to the commissioning of the 44-MW Lahori wind farm project in Madhya Pradesh and Cennergi (Pty) achieving commercial operations of both its 134 MW Amakhala Emoyeni and 95 MW Tsitsikamma Wind Farms. The company has an installed capacity of 1,996 MW in the clean energy space.
