DTCP to meet builders to discuss community infrastructure
GURGAON: The department of town and country planning will hold a meeting with DLF and Ansal on Tuesday to discuss development of public infrastructure like schools, creches, post offices and police posts in Sushant Lok, Palam Vihar and DLF phases 1 to 4.
In February, Punjab and Haryana high court had directed builders Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited and DLF Limited to construct community buildings at these vacant plots.
“Those community building sites which the petitioners had transferred to the state government and which are yet to be constructed by the state or its agency, shall be re-transferred to the petitioners (Ansal’s and DLF) within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, so as to enable them to construct the same or get such sites constructed,” the order passed by a double bench of justices Surya Kant and Lisa Gill noted.
TOI has learned that DLF had transferred 17 vacant community sites, measuring 5.01 acres to Haryana government. Similarly, Ansal had transferred 14 sites in Palam Vihar measuring 3.52 acres, and 12 sites in Sushant Lok measuring 5.76 acres to the government. When asked, additional chief secretary for DTCP P Raghavendra Rao said the issue will be taken up in meeting chaired by the director general. “The builders have been asked to produce relevant records so that a final order can be issued in the matter,” he said.
-DLF had transferred 17 such vacant community sites in phases 1-4 measuring a total of 5.01 acres to the government.
-Ansals had transferred a total of 14 vacant sites measuring a total of 3.52 acres to the government in Palam Vihar
– 12 vacant sites measuring a total 5.67 acres in Sushant Lok-1
– The community sites that were to be built on these sites included, nursery schools, primary schools, creches, post offices, religious buildings and a police post among others.
