HCLT bags Rs 1500 crore deal
BANGALORE: Beating TCS and Infosys which had recently bagged a large chunk of the ABN AMRO deal which together amounted to around Rs 1500-crore, HCL Technologies has single-handedly got a Rs 1500-crore contract from Europe’s the leading specialist electrical retailer, DSG international Plc.
Although the company declined to mention the size and the time frame of the deal, sources estimates it at Rs 1500-crore spread over a period of five years.
Through this co-sourcing deal HCL will provide systems development, application delivery, infrastructure support and maintenance services to the IS function of the retailer.
The £8-billion DSG International trades in 14 European countries. In UK it trades as Dixons, Currys, PC World and The Link.
