Income tax raids on Lavasa Corporation
The Income Tax department of Pune conducted search operations in Lavasa Corporation Mumbai and Pune offices on Monday and Tuesday for irregularities in filing of income tax returns.
With Lavasa being promoted as a hill resort and many projects completed,the department is conducting the search operations to check whether there are any irregularities.
According to income tax officials,the raid was conducted by the investigative wing of the Income Tax department (Pune). The search operations are on,said sources from the Income tax department. Lavasa has been promoted as the countrys first and largest hill resort which is being developed by Lavasa Corporation Ltd,a part of Hindustan Construction Corporation (HCC). The project is being developed by HCC and is spread over 25,000 acres .
