The railway company said on Saturday that the fare of its new air-conditioned economy class three-layer passenger car will be 8% lower than the fare of 3AC’s existing passenger car, providing the best travel experience at the cheapest price.
The authorities stated that the fare of the new car was 2.4 times the basic price of the existing mail and express sleeper trains, and added that 50 of the carriages had been delivered to different regional railways.
Now, since the fare is fixed, these cars will be attached to the existing express trains. They say that these carriages will replace sleeper carriages on trains that run at the maximum length.
