BJP Members Were Sent To Court Detention For 2 Days For Anti-Muslim Slogans.
On Tuesday morning, all six people were arrested in different areas of Delhi and its neighboring areas.
A video showing anti-Muslim slogans during Sunday’s protests was widely circulated on social media, and then Delhi police recorded a case on Monday. The police said that because of the Covid agreement, permission to march in Jantar Mantar was denied, but a crowd appeared.

In seeking judicial custody for Mr. Upadhyay and the other three, the additional prosecutor Atul Srivastava told the court: “My friend understands the law… He has submitted more than 100 petitions… He understands the law. He should not do this as permission. When rejected. When Parliament is meeting and Covid is there, they are actually ready for Independence Day and they should not meet.”
In clips on social media, the slogan “Ram, Ram” rose with the threat of killing Muslims. “Hindustan mein rehna hoga jai shri ram kehna hoga (to stay in India, I must say Jai Shri Ram),” the organization yelled from the parliament and main government offices just one kilometer away.

Mr. Upadhyay’s lawyer emphasized that he was not present when chanting slogans and urged the court to check the video before deciding on bail. “What happened after I left the scene cannot be blamed on me,” he argued.
Mr Upadhyay – who is a member of the Delhi BJP executive – had said the protest march against outdated colonial laws was organised by Save India Foundation. “I don’t have any relation with Save India Foundation Trust. I was a guest like Mr. RVS Mani, Mr. Firoz Bakht Ahmed, Mr. Gajendra Chauhan. We reached at around 11:00 and left at 12:00. I never met these miscreants,” he had said before his arrest.
