The media quoted officials from the country last week and reported that a protester threw a stone on the head of Ralph Gonsalves during an anti-vaccine protest on the eastern islands of the Caribbean Sea. He was then taken to the hospital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday denounced the “shocking assault” on Ralph Gonsalves, the leader of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and wished him a speedy recuperation.
Mr Gonsalves was hospitalized after a demonstrator tossed a stone at his head during an enemy of antibody fight in the eastern Caribbean island, media reports had cited authorities of that nation as saying last week.
“I denounce the appalling assault on Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” PM Modi said.
