On Wednesday, US player Sydney McLaughlin broke his own world record by winning the 400 million Olympic women’s hurdles final.
McLaughlin returned home in 51.46 seconds, and the 2016 Olympic gold medalist and world champion Dalila Mohd finished silver in 51.58 seconds. Femke Bol from the Netherlands won the bronze medal in 52.03 seconds.
