At the public interview, Ms Lekhi said: “They are not ranchers, they are criminals… These are criminal demonstrations. What occurred on January 26 was additionally disgraceful lawbreakers exercises. Resistance advanced such exercises.”
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) pioneer Rakesh Tikait took cognisance of the remark and said that farmers are “annadatas” (suppliers of food) and not “hoodlums”.
