I-T raids two steel units in Raipur
RAIPUR: In a major operation to uncover undeclared wealth, Income tax (investigation wing) officials on Friday raided nearly 10 premises of Raipur based Industrialists involved in manufacturing of structural steels and electrical equipments’.
Majority of the raids were centered in Raipur. The officials swooped on the office, factories and residential premises of the promoters of Khyati Ispat Pvt Ltd?. and? Ashutosh Structure Pvt Ltd?, Basant Kumar Agrawal and Virendra Kumar Agrawal.
According to officials, the search and seizure operations had led to the recovery of several incriminating documents, which have been sealed. Officials confirmed that the raids were conducted on a tip off of huge tax evasion by the groups?.
Talking to TOI, a senior official of Income tax department (Investigation unit) said search?operations? started at 10 am ?at their houses in Rohnipuram, Daganiya and Mahoba ?B?azar, ?office in Jawahar Nagar and factories in Urla and Siltara area?. ??
The raids were carried out by almost 100 personnel of IT department of MP and Chhattisgarh. The operation was underway till the filing of the report.
