Tata Power ropes in ex-Cabinet secretary K M Chandrasekhar
Tata Power today selected previous Cabinet secretary K M Chandrasekhar independent Director on its board for five years.
“We are satisfied to advise you that the board, vide determination passed today, has delegated K M Chandrasekhar as an autonomous chief of the organization with prompt impact, for a long time, subject to endorsement of the shareholders at the following general meeting,” Tata Power said in a BSE documenting.
A 1970 clump IAS officer of Kerala unit, Chandrasekhar resigned in June 2011.
He put in initial 25 years of his profession in Kerala and in 1996, joined the focal government on assignment.
Amid his 15-year residency with the focal government, he held a few positions, for example, joint secretary at Ministry of Commerce, vice president of mission in the Embassy of India at Brussels and the minister and perpetual illustrative of India in the World Trade Organization.
Chandrasekhar has released his duties as administrator, overseeing executive or individual from directorate of more than 40 organizations in general society, joint and private segment, the documenting said.
