While Addressing to Joint Session of Congress, Trump Condemns Kansas Shooting
The joint session of Congress address was opened by Trump on Tuesday condemning threats against Jewish centers and the shooting in Kansas where a young Indian was killed.
Trump in his address to Congress stated that, “Recent threats targeting Jewish community centres and Kansas City shooting reminds us that we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all its ugly forms.”
He has received criticism from different civil rights groups accusing him of being too slow in denouncing the violent acts.
Kuchibhotla, the young Indian aged 32 was an employee with Garmin, a US-based GPS maker. He was killed by an ex-US Navy veteran who opened fire after shouting “get out of my country”. Kuchibhotla’s colleague was also injured in the firing.
In recent weeks, there have also been several threats against Jewish community centers and vandalism in Jewish cemeteries.
