Islamic State ‘poster girl’ beaten to death by jihadists
Damascus: She became a poster girl for the Islamic State, or the ISIS/ISIL. But now, she has been beaten to death by the same Islamist jihadists.
17-year-old Samra Kesinovic had travelled to Syria along with her friend Sabina Selimovic (15 at the time she left her Austrian home).
The duo were killed by the Islamic State terrorists while they were trying to flee from Raqqa, as per media reports.
Samra and Sabina had left their homes in April 2014 saying they wanted to fight in Syria.
According to Tabloid Österreich, the duo had been living with women in a house in Raqqa – an ISIS stronghold.
However, ISIS men caught Samra when she was trying to escape.
The pair’s Bosnian parents suspected the girls had been tricked into leaving their country to fight the holy war, mirror.co.uk reported.
Some of the photos posted on their Facebook pages showed the girls carrying Kalashnikov rifles and, in some cases, surrounded by armed jihadists.
While leaving their country, the girls had left behind a note for their parents: “Don’t look for us. We will serve Allah – and we will die for him”.
