Tata Harrier EV vs Mahindra XEV 9e: Which Offers Better Value?
The Harrier EV was introduced by Tata Motors earlier this month, with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 21.49 lakh. However, Tata only disclosed the Harrier EV’s entry-level model’s pricing at the time of debut. The business recently announced the costs of all single-motor versions of the all-electric Harrier, which will be offered with both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD).
As everyone is aware, the Mahindra XEV 9e is a rival to the Harrier EV. Similar to Tata, Mahindra took its time to disclose the costs of all XEV 9e models. Additionally, unlike the Harrier EV, the XEV 9e does not come with AWD options. Let’s examine the pricing comparison between the Harrier EV and the XEV 9e.
The beginning price of the XEV 9e is Rs 41,000 higher than that of the entry-level Harrier EV model, as the tables above demonstrate. Additionally, the top-spec Harrier EV RWD model costs Rs 3 lakh less than the top-spec XEV 9e. It is crucial to remember that neither Mahindra nor Tata, even the ex-showroom, offer any charging options as standard.
The XEV 9E has two battery options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, with Mahindra claiming a range of 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The Harrier EV has two battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. Tata has only disclosed the range of the 75 keWh unit, which has a 627 km rating. Furthermore, both electric SUVs are packed with safety features and creature amenities.
