Israeli Precision Strikes Cripple Iran’s Air Defense Network
“This strike expands the freedom of aerial operation in Iranian airspace, following the breakthrough to Tehran,” the IDF said, sharing the video.
As the confrontation between the two nations enters its eighth day, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) stated that it is still committed to its aim of “maintaining aerial superiority in Iranian airspace.” The IDF claimed to have bombarded a number of nuclear and military manufacturing facilities throughout Iran during the course of the night.
The IDF posted a video of one such strike, which it said hit missile systems and radar installations in the Iranian cities of Isfahan and Tehran, but it was unclear when it occurred. Iran’s capital is Tehran, although a significant nuclear site is located in Isfahan.
The IDF claims that the video depicts its attack on an Isfahan aerial defence system. In the video, a graphical reticule is seen inching closer air defence systems, however, the blasts or impact are not shown.
“The IAF continues its mission to maintain aerial superiority in Iranian airspace,” the IDF stated after sharing the footage. Targeting IDF aircraft and interfering with their operations, fighter jets hit a number of Iranian missile systems and radar stations in the Tehran and Isfahan regions.
After the breakthrough to Tehran, this strike increased the freedom of aerial activity in Iranian airspace. It further stated that Israeli Air Force fighter jets and other aircraft are still operating freely in Iranian skies, hitting Iranian regime military targets in central and western Iran.
Israel Day 8 of the Iran conflict
The Israeli-Palestinian confrontation has been raging for more than a week, and the IDF has launched new strikes. Israeli officials claim that Iran used cluster submunitions for the first time in the eighth-day conflict when it launched a missile carrying them into central Israel on Thursday, according to Reuters.
“Today, the Iranian Armed Forces fired a missile that contained cluster submunitions at a densely populated civilian area in Israel,” the Israeli embassy informed Reuters.
There was no sign of a de-escalation as the two nations kept exchanging missile and gunfire. Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has also remained evasive about immediately entering the fight. According to the White House, he will decide within two weeks.
