Due to heavy rain in Pune PM Modi’s Visit cancelled
New line of Pune Metro city was supposed to inaugrate by PM Modi along with other development work.
Due to haivy rain in the city Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pune on Thursday was cancelled. Prime Minister Office confirmed the development and cited the heavy rain forcast for the city as the reason.
Along with other development work in the city PM Modi was supposed to inaugurate a new line of Pune Metro. The BJP was also sound the poll bulge
PM Modi was supposed to inaugurate a new line of Pune Metro along with other development works in the city. With Maharashtra expected to go to polls shortly, the BJP was also to sound the poll bulge on this occasion.
As Pune and its surrounding regions were stuck by the heavy rain since Wednesday, traffic was thrown out of gear and the mock drill for Modi’s visit had led to road closure.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) pune reported more than 130 mm of the rainfall on wednesday and more rain expected on Thursday as well.
Because of the heavy rain Suhas Diwase District collector, ordered all schools to remain closed on wednesday night.
