In Supaul, Bihar, one individual lost their life and nine others sustained injuries when a segment of an under-construction bridge collapsed in the early hours of Friday, according to officials.
According to officials, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was constructing a 10.2-kilometer bridge over the Koshi river, spanning from Bheja in Madhubani to Bakaur in Supaul district.
YB Singh, NHAI Regional Officer, informed PTI that following the accident, 10 laborers were trapped under the debris.
He mentioned that regrettably, one individual passed away while being transported to the hospital, while the other nine were rescued with minor injuries. He assured that they are now safe and out of danger.
