More details
“Shaitaan,” a Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati film “Vash” written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, has successfully surpassed the ₹100 crore mark globally. This achievement positions “Shaitaan” as the third Hindi film to achieve this milestone in the same year, following the successes of “Fighter” starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
Quoted from the Hindustan Times review of Shaitaan, it mentions, “The movie’s conclusion, cleverly linked to its initial scene of a decaying rat in a forest, ultimately releases the tension that one expects from such a film. In this challenging era for cinema, Shaitaan appears to rely on its ability to shock viewers. If you’re satisfied with a lively and slightly unsettling hostage thriller featuring the highly entertaining R. Madhavan, then it’s worth watching.”
