Reports indicate that veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has been hospitalized in Mumbai, with details regarding his health condition currently undisclosed. According to sources cited by Navbharat Times, Bachchan reportedly underwent an angioplasty procedure on his leg to address a clot, although this has not been officially confirmed. News of his hospitalization surfaced shortly after Bachchan shared a tweet expressing gratitude and endorsing the Majhi Mumbai team in the Indian Street Premier League.
In a recent blog post, Bachchan pondered over the evolving perceptions of him as he grows older. Approaching his 81st birthday in October this year, he remarked, “As I age, the mockery seems to diminish… now, those who are questioned or brought into the conversation by me, eventually acknowledge that the man is 81, aged, frail, and perhaps a bit senile, but they endure him… it won’t last for long… and the reactions continue with a tone of pity… poor fellow, so ignorant, let him be, and so on.” Additionally, he mentioned a newfound boldness in expressing his viewpoints on various matters.
In terms of his professional endeavors, Bachchan is poised to make an appearance in Nag Ashwin’s forthcoming science fiction movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, where he will be sharing the screen with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. The film is scheduled for release on May 9. Moreover, fans are eagerly awaiting his reunion with Rajinikanth in ‘Thalaivar 170’, marking their collaboration after a span of 33 years.
