YouTuber fatally injured by friend’s punch during party altercation
Three hours after the altercation, as his condition worsened, he was rushed to three hospitals sequentially. Unfortunately, he succumbed to a blood clot in his head at the third hospital.
Police reported the alleged death of a 23-year-old YouTuber on Monday morning due to injuries sustained in a brawl at a party in Greater Noida’s Dankaur earlier the same day. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
The police stated that three hours after the altercation, the man’s condition began to rapidly deteriorate. He was subsequently transported to three hospitals consecutively for treatment. Tragically, it was at the third hospital where he passed away during treatment due to a blood clot in his head.
According to Sanjay Kumar Singh, the station house officer in Dankaur, the deceased individual was Deepak Singh, a YouTuber from Mohammadpur Village in Dankaur. He is survived by his parents, elder brother, sister, and wife.
Kamal Nagar, Singh’s elder brother, recounted that on Sunday at approximately 11am, Deepak was invited by a friend to participate in a cricket match at a nearby ground. Following the match, a party was arranged where an altercation occurred among the friends, resulting in Deepak sustaining serious injuries from a punch to the head and face. At around 7pm, Deepak’s friends Manish and Prince returned him home and left hastily without informing anyone at home about his injuries.
Nagar stated, “After a couple of hours, when Deepak’s condition took a sudden turn for the worse, we hurried him to a nearby hospital. From there, he was transferred to another hospital. However, seeing no improvement, we took him to a third hospital where he passed away around 2:30 am on Monday.” Nagar added that Deepak had previously been involved in conflicts with his friends Vijay and Yogendra, who were also present at Sunday’s party.
Nagar stated, “Doctors notified us that Deepak had sustained injuries from a substantial object, resulting in a blood clot of approximately five to six inches in his head.”
SHO Singh explained, “During the inquiry, it was revealed that the accused, 24-year-old Manish, also a YouTuber, had sold his channel and hosted a gathering at his residence, attended by Deepak and six of his friends.”
Singh explained, “While they were drinking alcohol, an altercation ensued, and as Deepak attempted to calm the situation, he was struck in the head.” The reason for the altercation remains undetermined. According to the police, Deepak’s medical report indicated excessive alcohol consumption that day.
The SHO elaborated, “Based on a complaint from Deepak’s father, a case was filed at Dankaur police station on Monday, under sections 147, 149, 323, and 308 of the Indian Penal Code against Manish (24), Prince (24), Vicky (23), Vijay (34), Yogendra (25), Kapil (23), and Minku (25).”
Further inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Ashok Kumar, additional deputy commissioner of police in Greater Noida, stated, “Two suspects have been detained by the police, and the investigation is progressing.”
