Large crowds persist in visiting the Ram Lalla temple on the second day
Approximately 1,000 Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel are stationed in and around the temple complex to facilitate devotees in having a ‘darshan.’
Devotees continue to gather in significant numbers in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, two days after the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla. Footage from the temple’s surroundings depicts a vast crowd enduring the chilly winter morning to catch a glimpse of Lord Ram.
Approximately 1,000 Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel are stationed in and around the temple complex to ensure that devotees have the opportunity to have a ‘darshan.’
Praveen Kumar, Ayodhya’s Inspector-General of Police, mentioned that there is a continuous influx of people in the temple town.
“The influx of visitors is continuous, but all arrangements are in place. We urge elderly and differently-abled individuals to plan their visit after two weeks. I would like to request everyone not to rush for Darshan. The temple will be accessible to everyone with enhanced preparations,” stated the senior police official.
Prashant Kumar, Special Additional Deputy General of Police (Law and Order), mentioned enhancements to the queue system for crowd management. Specific channels have been designated for individuals.
“The Principal Secretary Home and I are here to supervise the administration. The ‘Darshan’ process is running seamlessly. We have enhanced the queue system to manage the crowd effectively,” Kumar stated.
Vijay Kumar, Director-General of Police for Uttar Pradesh, previously mentioned the deployment of an ample number of security personnel to handle the crowd.
Unprecedented number of devotees on Day 1
The Ram temple opened to the public on Tuesday following the elaborate consecration ceremony of Lord Ram on January 22. A large crowd began assembling around the temple from 3 am to catch a glimpse of the new Ram Lalla idol on the inaugural morning post the consecration ceremony.
On Monday night, a substantial number of devotees, including both locals and visitors from other states, congregated near the primary entrance along the Ram Path that leads to the temple complex, hoping to gain access to the temple premises.
As a significant gathering amassed near the adorned ceremonial gateway set up for the consecration ceremony, the police informed the devotees that the temple would be accessible to the public starting from Tuesday.
