For the Indian Bullet Train, The First Full-Length Beam Box Was Built To Speed Up The Process
Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train: In order to improve the transit route to the country’s first express train, the NHSRCL is using the entire depot.
The first complete 40-meter-long prestressed rock box girders (PSC) were erected at a manufacturing facility in Navsari district, Gujarat, on the Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway.
National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), which is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the Shinkansen Project, today said in a statement that the 40-span box girder meters weighs approximately 970 MT with 42 MT of steel to be installed in November 2021. It is cast in one piece without joints in one day.

It is also the heaviest prestressed concrete girder box in developed countries. In order to improve access to the country’s first highway between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the NHSRCL is using the operation full time.
Using tools developed by massive architect Larsen & Toubros, we developed a beam design using the latest authentication software. L&T said in a statement today that a wide range of key transport components have been identified and improved using different materials to ensure long-term, cost-effective operation.
The prefabricated beam was retrieved from the loading area by the carriers and moved to location before being transported through the bridge gantry for final installation. L&T said the improvement was critical to the success of the Surat-Billimora phase of the project.
All-span beams were placed on the P11 and P12 piers of the high-speed line. According to the NHSRCL, the height of the pier is 13.4m above ground level.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor: Project Status:
In order to improve the construction of the viaduct, the installation of the substructure and the superstructure was carried out simultaneously. Jetties, hats, jetties and trimmers – all under construction. For the construction of superstructures, casting sites are carried out in relation to the casting of all span beams and segment beams.
Twenty-three yards were designed as a competition for casting all-span beams between 30, 35 and 40 yards. Each planting area covers an area of 16 to 93 acres depending on your needs and close to the highway.
Equipment including jigs for the fabrication of rebar cages, casting beds with prefabricated hydraulically operated molds, batch plants, aggregate loading areas, cement silos and camps offices were built on each site for the rapid molding of beams.
The 508-kilometer Mumbai-Amedabad high-speed rail line has 12 stops along the way and cuts the journey time between the two major cities to 2 hours 57 minutes, including stops at each station.
When ready to go into service, the express train runs at 320 km / h, similar to the Shinkansen or the Japan bullet train.
