WhatsApp Chats Not “Queen’s English”, Can Be Misread: Amit Desai Lawyer Of Aryan Khan.
The argument emerged during the trial against Aryan Khan in a Mumbai court.
WhatsApp conversations between friends often seem suspicious given the type of language young people use today, Aryan Khan’s lawyer, Amit Desai, told a cruise ship drug court hearing on Thursday.
“Please consider another reality. The current generation has a means of communication that is English … not Queen’s English. sometimes the older generation will call this torture. The way we communicate is very different,” he said.
“Conversions in chat can often be misunderstood. WhatsApp conversations should be private conversations. But I was told there were no messages or cell phones for the rave party,” said Desai.
“There’s always a chance that casual conversations between friends on WhatsApp will look suspicious,” he added.
The contentions came during a bail hearing for Aryan Khan that started on Wednesday at a Mumbai meetings court. It is the third since his capture just about fourteen days prior in the Mumbai drugs-on-voyage case in which WhatsApp talks have been refered to as key proof.
Shah Rukh Khan’s child Aryan Khan – Accused No. 1 for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) – purportedly “enjoyed illegal medication dealing”, and was in contact with “a few people abroad who give off an impression of being a piece of an International Drug Network” to obtain a “mass amount of hard medications”, the counter opiates office said in an assertion to the court, contradicting his bail.
The NCB on Thursday let the court know that “proof showed” Aryan Khan every now and again took restricted substances; Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, addressing the focal office, likewise alluded to on-record articulations to guarantee that Aryan Khan has been devouring medications throughout the previous few years.
