Volvo Car India announced a new “lifetime customer parts warranty” scheme across its entire model range. Under the new scheme, parts purchased after the standard warranty period and installed in an authorized workshop will have a lifetime warranty and will apply to original parts purchased from October 1, 2021.
The coverage period begins on the date of October 1, 2021. date of purchase of the part. and it remains until such time as the ownership of the car does not change. However, the schema will expire when the property changes. Under this scheme, both parts and labor costs are covered.
The initiative has been taken to give customers peace of mind about after-sales services given the high cost of spare parts and replacement of luxury cars.
Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director of Volvo Car India, said: “It is the first time in India that such an initiative has been offered to luxury customers.
This is a unique offering in the automotive industry that provides the customer with a safe and secure car. No worries. In the unlikely event that customers require a part to be changed for their car, the company will grant a lifetime warranty on the part.
Warranty begins on the date of purchase of the part and will follow the car combination and the owner of the car. If the car has a new registered owner, the warranty will end. ”
In addition, the company also reaffirmed that any genuine Volvo parts that require repair or replacement due to a defect in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced free of charge by an authorized dealer.
However, the scheme does not apply to normal wear and tear on parts, consumables, batteries, accessories and Software that is not associated with a hardware replacement.
Also, parts replaced under the New Car Warranty or Extended Warranty or Goodwill Warranty would not be covered by this scheme.
