TVS Motor Partners With Tata Power To Create A Two-Wheeler Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure.
The partnership aims to expand TVS ‘presence in more than 25 cities and reduce range anxiety by creating a large charging infrastructure in partnership with Tata Power.
In another indication that OEMs are creating an electric vehicle charging infrastructure to ease range anxiety among electric vehicle users, two- and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company has entered into a strategic partnership. with Tata Power, one of the largest integrated power companies in India.
TVS And Tata Power Partnership
As part of the MoU, the two companies will drive a comprehensive implementation of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) across India and deploy solar energy technologies at TVS Motor locations.
The partnership aims to create a large dedicated two-wheeler electric vehicle charging infrastructure to accelerate electric mobility in India.
This will also give TVS iQube Electric customers access to Tata Power’s extensive charging network through the TVS Motor Customer Connection App and the Tata Power EZ Charge App across India.
The association aims to create a regular AC charging network and a DC fast charging network for electric two-wheelers.
The TVS MoU with Tata Power is in line with its commitment to expand TVS iQube Electric’s presence in more than 25 cities in the coming months. The electric scooter is currently available in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Surat, Vizag, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad.
TVS To Explore Solar Energy
Furthermore, with the growing concern about the developments of global climate change, solar energy will play an important role in the future. The expansion of solar energy technologies will play a vital role in the shift towards consumer adoption of clean energy. With this intention, the two companies will also explore opportunities to use solar energy to power selected TVS Motor locations on their journey towards sustainability.
