Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said after his father’s arrest that no one can be above the law.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s father, Nand Kumar Baghel, was arrested on suspicion of making derogatory comments on the Brahmin community and sentenced to 15 days of judicial detention by the Raipur Court.
After his dad was charged on Sunday, the Chief Minister said nobody was exempt from the rules that everyone else follows.
“As a Chief Minister, I have an obligation to keep up with amicability among various networks. On the off chance that he (the dad) said something against a local area, I feel sorry. Lawful move would be made against him,” Bhupesh Baghel told journalists.
He likewise tweeted later: “As a child, I regard my dad, yet as a Chief Minister, none of his missteps can be disregarded which upsets the public request. Nobody is exempt from the laws that apply to everyone else in our administration, regardless of whether he is the main clergyman’s dad.”
During his visit to Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Baghel’s father called for a “boycott” of Brahmins.
“The Brahmins will be sent to the Volga River from the Ganges. They are foreigners. They think we are inaccessible and they are depriving us of all our rights. I will urge the villagers not to let the Brahmins into their villages,” Nande Kumar Baghel said it.
