The Tunnel To The Red Fort Used By The British Army To Transport Freedom Fighters Was Discovered.

A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
Ram Niwas Goel, President of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, said in an interview with news agencies that the tunnel connects the Legislative Assembly to the Red Fort Get up, used by the British to avoid retaliation. Freedom fighters are being displaced.

Mr Goel further educated that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was utilized as Central Legislative Assembly in the wake of moving of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was transformed into a court in 1926 and Britishers utilized this passage to carry political dissidents to the court.
“We all know that there is a hanging room here, but we never opened it. It is now the 75th anniversary of independence and I decided to inspect that room. We intend to turn that room into a refuge for freedom fighters as a tribute to them,” He said.
The Speaker of the Parliament added that, given the history of the Delhi Legislative Assembly related to the country’s independence, it intends to open it up for the next Independence Day. The gallows room used by tourists and its work have begun.
“This place has a very rich history in the context of fighting for freedom. We intend to refurbish it so that tourists and visitors can reflect our history,” he said.
