Tokyo Paralympic Games: Prachi Yadav qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s canoe sprint to be held on Friday.
On Thursday, India’s Prachi Yadav qualified for the Tokyo Paralympic Games women’s 200m Va’a canoe sprint semi-finals. The 26-year-old from Bhopal scored 1 minute 11.098 seconds in the VL2 heat level 1 of the Sea Forest Waterway-13.014 seconds behind the British leader Emma Wiggs (58.084 seconds). The semi-finals will be held on Friday. Yadav, who was paralyzed from the waist down, also participated in the national disabled swimming competition, but started canoeing on the recommendation of coach Vilund Kumar.
