Battlegrounds Mobile India Will Shut Down Facebook Data Transfer, Krafton Announces The Winner Of “Ready To Jump”
Players of Battlegrounds Mobile India will need to use the Facebook app after October 5th to play.
Due to policy updates, Battlegrounds Mobile India will soon shut down data transfer with Facebook accounts. Since its launch, considering that players use the same account on PUBG Mobile, the game allows its users to use Facebook and Twitter accounts to transfer their data from PUBG Mobile to the new game. Developer Krafton also announced the winners of the Get Ready To Jump event that ended on July 30th. He also shared that between August 20th and 26th, about 195,500 accounts were banned due to hacking.
PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020 and was resurrected as Battlegrounds Mobile India in July this year. The game allows players to transfer their progress and data from PUBG Mobile. Those who log in to PUBG Mobile with a Facebook or Twitter account can use the same account in Battlegrounds Mobile India and transfer their data to the new game. Now, Krafton announced that it will close Facebook account data transmission starting September 28.
According to the developer, the reason for this is a policy update related to the Facebook Software Development Kit (SDK) that prohibits logging in with a Facebook account through the built-in browser on Android devices. Those who wish to transfer data from PUBG Mobile to Battlegrounds Mobile India via Facebook must complete it by September 28th. IOS users are not affected by this development.
In addition, Battlegrounds Mobile India players also need to install the Facebook app to log in to the game after October 5. Without this application, players will not be able to play the game. If you have already installed the Facebook application, then this development should not be a problem for you. However, it is not clear whether people who log in with their Twitter accounts will continue to do so after October 5. The news organization has contacted Krafton for clarification. We will update this report after we receive your letter.
