The benchmark Indian stock market index closed at a record high on Friday, led by Larsen & Toubro, Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC, UltraTech Cement, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bharti Airtel. The benchmark index fell in early trading, but then rebounded due to low buying. The Sensex index rose 512 points from the daily low to an intraday high of 56,188, which was 10 points lower than the historical high of 56,198.13. The Nifty 50 index reached an intraday high of 16,704.65.
The Sensex rose 176 focuses to close at record high of 56,125 and Nifty 50 list progressed 68 focuses to close at a record-breaking high of 16,705.
Ten new offers were added to the fates and alternatives (F&O) fragment from today. Can Fin Homes, Dixon Technologies, Hindustan Aeronautics, Indian Energy Exchange, Indiamart Intermesh, IPCA Laboratories, MCX, OFSS, Polycab India and Syngene International were added to F&O section.

On the other hand, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Tata Consumer Products, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Nestlé India, HDFC Bank and Eicher Motors are the losers. The market is generally optimistic, with 1,919 stocks closing lower, while 1,283 BSE stocks closing lower.
