The Taliban Captured Lashkar Gah From Afghanistan, The Capital Of Helmand Province.
Taliban caught Afghanistan’s Lashkar Gah, capital of the southern region of Helmand, following fourteen days of hefty battling.
A police official said on Friday that after two weeks of fierce fighting, the Taliban had occupied lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan.
The official, who asked not to be named, said the city was the city at midnight on Thursday.
“About 200 members of the ANDSF stayed in the governor’s compound and surrendered to the Taliban under the intervention of the elders,” the official said, referring to members of the National Security and Defense Forces and tribal elders.
