On the anniversary of Sridevi’s death this year, Janhvi Kapoor wrote the most heartbreaking message: “I miss you.” Janhvi shared a photo of a letter she received from her mother. She said: “I Love you, my Rab. You are the best baby in the world.” At the same time, Janhvi’s sister Khushi posted a photo of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s parents and wrote: “I love you.”
Just a few months after Sridevi’s death, Janhvi Kapoor wore a kanjeevaram saree from her mother to the national awards ceremony. Sridevi was posthumously awarded the National Best Actress Award for her role in MOM, which is her last film.
Sridevi accidentally drowned in the bathtub of a hotel in Dubai in 2018, when the Kapoor family were attending the Mohit Marwah wedding celebration there. Sri Devi is 54 years old. Janhvi Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with Dhadak in 2018, after which he appeared in the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories. His upcoming movies include Dharma Productions’ romantic comedy Dostana 2. Khushi Kapoor is studying filmmaking in New York; he has not disclosed his Bollywood plans.
