The Chief Minister Of Goa Said That The Comments On The Rape Case Were “Out Of Context” In The Middle.
In a speech delivered at the Goa Conference on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant accused the parents of the two raped girls of allowing their sons to go out late at night.
Two days after his remark on the gangrape of two minor young ladies set off shock, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said his words were taken “outside any connection to the subject at hand” and portrayed himself “profoundly tormented and upset”.

In remarks made in the Goa Assembly on Wednesday, Mr Sawant faulted the guardians for permitting their youngsters to venture out – they were on a sea shore 30 km from capital Panaji – late around evening time

This is debilitated and bold surrender of obligation to protect Goa. Bold.”
Goa Forward Party boss Vijai Sardesai, who this week declared a union with the Congress for the following year’s political race, called the Chief Minister’s comment “coldhearted” and requested a statement of regret.
“The Chief Minister owes a conciliatory sentiment to the guardians of the minor young ladies. A particularly reckless… heartless proclamation… when really he ought to be soothing the guardians, giving them comfort and mental fortitude by his opportune activity to forestall further such occasions,” he was cited by News Agencies.
Four men – one an administration worker – acted like police officers and assaulted the two young ladies subsequent to pounding the young men. The assault occurred on Benaulim sea shore.
