PM Narendra Modi Launches SAFAL Assessment Framework For CBSE Students.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched SAFAL (Structured Assessment of Analytical Learning) on Thursday.
On the primary commemoration of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday dispatched SAFAL (Structured Assessment For Analyzing Learning), a capability based evaluation for grades 3, 5 and 8 presented by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).As per a public statement gave by CBSE, SAFAL will be utilized to evaluate the advancement of fundamental abilities and essential mastering results among understudies student.
“This is in accordance with Para 4.40 of the National Education Policy 2020 which suggests that to assist understudies, guardians, instructors, administrators, and the whole tutoring framework in arranging enhancements to schools and instructing learning measures. All understudies student will take school assessments in Grades 3, 5 and 8 which would test accomplishment of fundamental learning results, through appraisal of center ideas alongside pertinent higher-request abilities and utilization of information, in actuality, circumstances, as opposed to repetition remembrance,” the assertion read.
SAFAL, as a symptomatic evaluation, will give formative input to schools and educators to further develop instructing learning without extra assessment tension on understudies. It has been intended to help understudies, guardians, and educators to follow learning progress all through the school years and not simply in Grades 10 and 12.
SAFAL results won’t be utilized in any way by schools for the advancement of understudies to the following grade.
SAFAL will be directed on a pilot premise in CBSE schools for understudies in Grades 3, 5 and 8 during the scholastic year 2021-22, in key curricular spaces of Language, Mathematics, and EVS, Science.
CBSE has welcomed associated schools to take part in SAFAL 2021-22.
