A police official said: A gunbattle broke out in Pulwama town of the south Kashmir locale after the security forces launched a cordon-and-search activity following data about the presence of psychological terrorists there.
He said the pursuit activity transformed into an encounter after the terrors started shooting at the security forces, who fought back.
Three psychological terrors were killed in the gunbattle.
“One of the terrorists had been recognized as LeT authority Aijaz @abu Huraira,” the authority said, adding that he was a Pakistani public.
The authority said a pursuit activity was going on nearby.
