Why Sachin Tendulkar had to be convinced to act in his biopic
Consistent with form — bashful and quiet — Sachin Tendulkar didn’t precisely bounce on board when maker Ravi Bhagchandka asked whether he would act in the biopic Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
“When I was drawn closer by Ravi, my underlying response was ‘no’, as once a sportsperson, dependably a sportsperson,” Tendulkar told Moneycontrol in an email association. “It took a touch of persuading for me to consent to it.”
The biopic hit the screens on Friday with much pomp. The film, Tendulkar stated, depicts different parts of his life — not as a cricketer that the world worships. “My cricketing story is the thing that everybody knows about, however what I experienced amid the highs and lows of my vocation is the thing that nobody is aware of,” he stated, including that 10,000 hours of film were audited for the making of the film.
“There are home recordings with loved ones which we incorporated into Sachin: A Billion Dreams which will indicate me as individual,” he included. “The entire film is about my genuine excursion. Thus, there are no anecdotal odds and ends included here.”
Tendulkar likewise said he preferred the biopics on Indian boxer Mary Kom, F1 driver Ayrton Senna and kindred cricketer MS Dhoni.
The 44-year-old said that he’s substance with his life subsequent to hanging up boots in 2013, when he bowed out after his 200th test in Mumbai. “I couldn’t have requested more.”
