CBI arrests REI Agro chairman, promoter
The CBI today captured the administrator of REI Agro alongside a promoter of the organization regarding an affirmed bank advance extortion of Rs 3,871 crore.
Administrator Sanjay Jhunjhunwala, who was confronting a Red Corner Notice issued by the United Arab Emirates, was captured after he came back from abroad.
The CBI had likewise issued a Look Out Circular against him.
Chairman Sandip Jhunjhunwala was likewise captured by the organization here today.
The organization had enrolled an argument against them and the Kolkata-based REI Agro, which manages Basmati rice exports, in October 2015.
The move was made on the protestation from a consortium of 14 banks driven by UCO Bank.
