US Confirms ‘Failed’ North Korea Missile Test
The US Defense Department has affirmed that North Korea did a rocket test, and said the dispatch flopped “very quickly”.
“The rocket exploded very quickly. The kind of rocket is as yet being evaluated,” the US Pacific Command said in an announcement.
The US Pacific Command distinguished and followed what it evaluated was a North Korean rocket dispatch at 2121 GMT on April 15, the announcement said.
“The dispatch of the ballistic rocket happened close Sinpo,” US Pacific Command representative CDR Dave Benham said.
USPACOM is completely dedicated to working intimately with its partners in the Republic of Korea and in Japan to look after security, Benham said.
The fizzled dispatch came a day after North Korea displayed almost 60 rockets at a goliath military parade to check the 105th birthday of its author Kim II-Sung.
