Nitin Gadkari Announces Rs 40,000 Crore Expressway in North-East
The main express roadway extend in the upper east area will be created along the Brahmaputra waterway in Assam at an expected venture of Rs 40,000 crore, Union Road Minister Nitin Gadkari said.
“Upper east is our need. We will build up the primary express roadway of North East in Assam along the banks of Brahmaputra. This 1,300 km-long express interstate is probably going to bring about a venture of Rs 40,000 crore,” Gadakari said.
Making the declaration at the end service of the ‘Namami Brahmaputra’ celebration here, the clergyman asked for the Assam Chief Minister to complete land securing work for the present day street.
“The land procurement must be finished by the state. The sand the dirt originating from the digging of Brahmaputra will be used for development of the street,” Gadkari said.
He said that the express parkway will be pivot controlled and vehicles will have the capacity to utilize at rapid. The Center will dig the Brahmaputra waterway from Sadia in Upper Assam to increment navigational channels up to Chittagong port in Bangladesh.
In Gadkari’s nearness, a tripartite understanding was marked for digging and development of the express thruway in Assam. The assention was marked between the Assam government, the National Highways Authority of India and the Inland Waterways of India.
