New 250 MW Plant in Assam Commissioned by BHEL
State-run power equipment manufacturer BHEL today said it has authorized a 250 MW unit at the up and coming Bongaigaon warm power station in Assam.
“BHEL is executing the fundamental plant bundle contract for setting up three coal-let go units of 250 MW each at Bongaigaon TPS of NTPC. Altogether, this is the most astounding rating coal-based power plant in the North-East area,” BHEL said in an announcement.
The primary unit of the power plant was dispatched before by BHEL and is by and by operational, while the third and last unit is in cutting edge phase of charging, the announcement said.
Bongaigaon control plant is situated at Salakati close Bongaigaon in Kokrajhar region of Assam. Otherwise called the entryway to lower Assam, Bongaigoan is one of the mechanical towns of the state, which likewise has a noteworthy petrochemical industry. This venture has been set up in the wake of pulverizing an old 4×60 MW control station of Assam State Electricity Board, it said.
