Andhra Government Contemplating $1 Million Prize for Best Fintech Startup
The Andhra Pradesh government is considering an offer of $1 million as the first prize in a competition for the best business plan submitted by a start-up in fintech (financial technology) domain, a senior official stated.
Advisor IT and Special Chief Secretary to Naidu, JA Chowdhury stated that, the first prize will be of $1 million and there will also be other prizes. But, the approval has to come from chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu.
The results of the fintech startup business plan competition will be announced at the Global Fintech Summit which will be held on October in Vishakapatanam.
Speaking on Fintech Valley Vizag, Chowdhury stated that the forty acre IT park has one 1 tower from where couple of companies are operating.
He added that there were plans to setup technology institutes starting with Blockchain Institute of Technology.
