Total Operating Capacity of Tata Power Crosses 10,500MW
TPREL (Tata Power Renewable Energy), Tata Power’s wholly owned subsidiary achieved synchronisation of its 15MW Belampally solar plant in Telangana, thereby starting the commercial operations of the plant.
In a statement TPREL said that, the company was able to bag the project through a bidding process and its commissioning is in keeping with the conditions and timelines in the power purchase agreement for the project.
The company also stated that, with this development the operating capacity of the company crossed 10,500MW mark.
The solar plant consists of an 18km transmission line which has been built over 80 acres. A twenty five year purchase agreement ties the sale of the power from the plant with Telangana’s Northern Power Distribution Company at Rs 5.72 per unit.
