UP Polls: Fourth Phase Campaigning Ends Today
The campaigning for the 4th phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections will end today at around 5 p.m. Fifty three assembly constituencies, spread over twelve districts – including Sonia Gandhi’s Rae Bareilly, Pratapgarh, Allahabad, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Banda, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur and Fatehpur will go to polls in this phase on 23 February.
In the 4th phase of elections, a total of 630 candidates, including fifty women are in fray.
In the ongoing polls, Aditi Singh, daughter of Congress leader Akhilesh Singh will be contesting from Rae Bareilly seat.
On Monday, while addressing a rally, Akhilesh Yadav stated that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan should stop promoting the donkeys of Gujarat. Those who have seen the ad will get to know whom we are talking about, he added.
In his attack on rival political parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that, after the 3 phases of the assembly polls, it is quite clear that Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government in UP and rest of the parties (Samajwadi Party, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party) are putting in every effort to woo the voters.
