15,000 Jobs to be Created by Accenture in the U.S.
On Friday, Accenture Plc stated that, it would create 15,000 new “highly skilled” jobs in the United States of America with IT firms bracing for a protectionist U.S. technology visa programme introduced by the Trump government.
Dublin, Ireland based Accenture Plc said that the introduction of new jobs would increase the U.S. workforce of the company by thirty percent or over 65,000 by 2020’s end.
There are over 394,000 employees in Accenture out of which, 140,000 are in India.
The spotlight on IT companies came after US President Donald Trump stated that his administration would aim at creating more jobs for the American people who are greatly affected by outsourcing of jobs to other countries.
The software services of India is also concerned about the introduction of new bill by the U.S. Congress asking to double the salary of H1-B visa holders that would in turn, increase the costs of the companies employing them.
On Friday, Accenture also stated that, an investment of $1.4 billion will be made to train employees and open ten innovation centers in different U.S. cities.
