Google Maps Comes Introduces a New Feature, “List”
In order to assist users mark out their preferred hangouts as well as places they wish their friends should visit, Google Maps has come up with a new feature known as “List” on Monday.
The availability of this feature will allow users to create list of places, share it with others and follow lists of family and friends when shared with them, without the need to leave Goggle Maps on iOS and Android platform, stated the company in a statement.
The new feature introduced will allow users to list places they wish to visit and share their recommendations, be it a list of fashion boutiques, street food joints, weekend gateways, etc. Apart from that, users will also be able to view and edit their lists offline provided they have downloaded offline maps. Places which have been added to the list will appear on the offline map.
In order to create a list, users will have to open the side menu, then go to “Your Places” and open “Saved”, following that users will need to click on the ‘+’ sign in the blue circle at the bottom right corner of the screen. Apart from that, users will also be able to create a list by opening the place they want to add to a new list, tap on “Save” and select “Create a New List”. After that, users will need to open the list and click on the share button on the top right corner.
