100 km Gas Pipeline Order Bagged by Essar Projects from GSPL India Gasnet
On Wednesday, Essar Projects was successful in bagging a contract to lay 100 km natural gas pipeline for GSPL India Gasnet. Though, the consideration for the project was not disclosed by the company but, sources aware of the development stated that it’s worth Rs 200 crore.
The pipeline to be laid by Essar is going to be a part of the 2,100 km Mehsana-Bhatinda-Jannu-Srinagar- pipeline project of GSPL India Gasnet and it would connect Jalandhar to Amritsar. The initiation of the project took place in order to meet the growing demand of natural gas in the country. India happens to be the 3rd largest energy consuming country in the world.
Incorporated in 2011, by Gujarat State Petronet along with Hindusthan Petroleum, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum, GSPL India Gasnet is a special purpose vehicle.
