Narendra Modi and Donald Trump talked about Pak Terror, H1-B Visa and South China Sea
During the conversation between newly elected U.S. President, Donald Trump, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi conveyed the concerns of India regarding the H1-B visa programme changes, according to official sources.
Donald Trump stated that, he would definitely consider the concerns of India.
The South China Sea issue was also raised by President Trump along with US’s interest in ensuring freedom of navigation in international waters claimed by the Chinese as their own. According to sources, Pakistan also was mentioned in the discussion when Modi mentioned cross-border terrorism issue which is a big challenge hurting India’s growth.
No official readout of the conversation between the two leaders has been issued by India and in the White House version these specific issues are not mentioned.
During the call, the leaders of the two countries talked on different issues starting from defense to economy to regional security situation and terrorism.
