Oracle’s Proposal to Set Up its Second largest Campus in Bengaluru Soon to Become a Reality
Oracle Systems Corporation, IT-services company based in the U.S. is all set to witness its proposal to build its 2nd largest campus in Bengaluru, turn into a reality. The proposal is going through the final phases of clearance by the government of Karnataka.
Subsidiary of the US-based organisation, Oracle India is setting up the new SEZ campus on the outer ring road at Kadubeesanahalli as a part of its plan to expand operations in Bengaluru. The new campus will be built on a 13 acres plot close to Sarjapur software hub. An investment of Rs 2,438 crore has been made for the new project and it is expected to employ 10,000 professionals. The 2019’s end, the campus will be functional.
Oracle India MD, Shailender Kumar stated that the new facility will help them consolidate their entire workforce and it will consist of new recruits as well as existing employees. This would be the company’s 2nd largest campus, outside Oracle’s headquarters in San Francisco, California.
Presently, there are 8 development centers of the company along with global centers located at Bengaluru, Noida, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram. The new campus will be spread out over three lakh square feet of area.
Based on available information, Rs 218 crore will be invested in the new facility by Oracle India and the rest of the investment will be taken care of the parent company.
