New Party to be Formed by Shivpal Yadav After UP Polls
Samahwadi Party senior leader, Shivpal Yadav has announced that he will form a new party after 11th of March, 2017. The decision by the senior leader has been sharply retorted by Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh’s uncle, Shivpal Yadav stated that once the results of the UP elections are out, he will decide on forming the new party. After this announcement, the Chief Minister has stated that those who are going against the interest of the party will not be spared. However, no name was mentioned by him.
Speaking at a public meeting, Shivpal Yadav said that, “he has been obliged (by Akhilesh Yadav) by getting party ticket…or else he would have contested as an independent.” He also said that, “I will remain solidly behind Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) till my last breath and his humiliation will not be tolerated at any cost.”
In the new arrangement put forth by Akhilesh Yadav after he took over from Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal was marginalised. Also, while campaigning he was ignored and his name didn’t figure in SP star campaigners list.
