Jivrajka, COO and Core Member of Ola Steps Down
Presently, the COO of Ola and also a part of the founding team of the Indian cab company, Pranay Jivrajka is all set to step down from his post.
Jivrajka will be replaced by Vishal Kaul, PepsiCo veteran who has successfully handled purchase based operations of PepsiCo in different countries like Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
An IIT graduate, Jivrajka joined the founders of Ola, Ankit Bhati and Bhavesh Aggarwal seven months after the formation of the company in the year 2011. He was responsible for looking after the operations of the company.
A spokesperson of Ola declined to comment on the same. However, a spokesperson from PepsiCo stated that the company would require checking with its Thailand office.
The cab market of India which is estimated to be around $6 billion to $9 billion has witnessed strong competition from California-based Uber and Ola. The Indian marketplace is so far the fastest growing for Uber and Travis Kalanick, CEO stated that the operations of the company in India will soon start out to be profitable. Ola, on the other hand is also trying to raise fresh funds and strengthen its leadership team.
Several executives from the top position has quit the company in recent times like Ola money product lead, Rushil Goel , Head of cab category management, Pradeep Dodle as well as associate VP, Harsha Kumar.
